Texting
Every text starts with the person who wants it.
Rocalyn Edge answers phone calls for real estate businesses. Texting plays a small, deliberate part in that. Each kind of text has its own way in and the same way out, and here is all of it.
The texts we send, and why
Replies from a business you texted
Some businesses that use Rocalyn Edge also answer texts at the number they publish on their listings, signs and website. Texting is off until the business turns it on with us. Once it is on, the first text you send gets one automatic reply from the business’s assistant, the same assistant that answers its calls, asking whether you want replies by text. Nothing else is sent until you reply YES. After that, the business writes its replies to you, about the inquiry you started, from the same number you texted.
A booking link after a call
If you call a business and ask its assistant for a link to book a time, the assistant asks whether it may text you and tells you what to expect. One text then asks you to reply YES, and the link is sent only after you do.
Alerts to the businesses we serve
When an agent or team on Rocalyn Edge turns on text alerts for their own mobile number, we text them about their account: new leads, missed calls, call summaries, bookings, and service and security notices. These come from a Rocalyn number, not from a business’s line, and they are account messages, not marketing.
Texting Rocalyn directly
If you text a Rocalyn number directly, our team reads your message and replies. We keep your message and your number to do that, and for nothing else.
What it looks like
A business on Rocalyn Edge invites texts by publishing its own number on its listings, signs and website. Here is an example, and the conversation that follows when someone texts it. Example Realty and its number are fictional.

How to stop any text
Reply STOP at any time. We also honor STOPALL, END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT and REVOKE, and you can tell us, or the business you contacted, to stop in any other reasonable way. You get one text confirming it, and then no more texts from that number. Reply START if you change your mind.
Businesses in the same line of work share one registered messaging program, so stopping texts from one number also stops texts from the other businesses in that program. It does not affect a different line of business.

What we never do
- No cold texts. A business on Rocalyn Edge can text only someone who contacted it first and replied YES.
- No lists and no marketing. Every text is about something you asked for.
- No selling or sharing your number. Your number and your consent are never sold or shared with anyone for their marketing.
- Replies are written by people. Apart from the automatic message asking whether you want replies, and the confirmation after you say YES, the business and its staff write every reply.
The full messaging terms are in Section 11 of our Terms of Service, and how we handle numbers and consent is in our Privacy Policy.
